'Pokémon Sun and Moon' release date update: Three new characters revealed during E3
During the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, the Japanese multinational consumer electronics and software company, Nintendo, has released a new game trailer of the highly anticipated "Pokémon Sun and Moon." The new video footage has introduced three new characters.
The first character is Yungos, a Pokémon that has problems with its appetite due to fast digestion. Yungos has a strong jaw that can crush hard objects. One of his abilities is Stakeout, a serious move that inflicts twice the damage of a normal attack to enemies who dare to challenge the character in the battlefield.
According to the official Pokémon website, "each Yungos chooses its own particular route for searching out prey. It stalks along this route searching for food until it's exhausted, at which point it drops and sleeps wherever it may be. It's thought that these Pokémon decide their routes based on safety so that there's no risk of falling asleep at any time."
The next Pokémon on the list is Pikipek, a character that is compared to a woodpecker because of how fast it strikes. According to the report, the Pikipek can attack any enemy 16 times per second using its main weapon, its own sharp and pointed beak. The character is said to easily break stones into pieces or drill through wood at ease.
According to the website, "these Pokémon drill holes in trees and store food in the holes. They also like small, glittering objects and will tuck them away in their food stores, too. It's often said, 'Something lost, something missed, check inside the Pikipek nest.'"
The last character that was revealed was Grubbin, a weird Pokémon that can be normally found near substations and power plants. It also has the ability to swing from one place to another using its unique power.
The "Pokémon Sun and Moon" has already been confirmed for a Nov. 18 release.
