'Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World' demo play: free demo now available on eShop; preorder now available

Those who want to see what "Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" has in store can now visit the Nintendo eShop to see the demo. Nintendo announced that the 3DS demo is already available for free, before it arrives in the console on Feb. 3.

"Before the Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World game launches for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems on Feb. 3, try it out with the free demo. Download it now to experience the beautifully handcrafted world and clever side-scrolling action," Nintendo announced.

"Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" was first released for Wii U, but Nintendo decided to reach out to more players when it made the game available on 3DS. A video was released prior to the free demo, showing the previous appearances of the famous Yoshi and how they shaped the character's fun adventures.

The adorable pup was first featured in "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island," in which players got to ride with Poochy as they traveled to dangerous places and smacked some enemies that attacked them. The character somehow made it to the players' heart, paving the way for another appearance in "Tetris Attack, Yoshi's Story and Yoshi's New Island," according to Nintendo Insider.

According to Nintendo Life, "Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World" has an excellent performance, considering the fact that it is played on the new Nintendo 3DS, resulting in a higher framerate as compared with the first models.

In fact, even when players enable the 3D option, the game still runs smoothly without having any problems with its performance, which the publication has half-expected. No gameplay interference was observed and so no quality has been lost. This is said to be a great leap from the disappointments caused by Nintendo and similar third-party apps, since the game was able to present a satisfactory implementation of 3D effect.
