'Quantico' season 2 episode 14 spoilers: Alex and her team tries to bring down an unknown enemy; two new characters joining Alex to be introduced

The president will give Alex (Priyanka Chopra) and a few chosen others the task to take down an enemy that has invisibly infiltrated their government. Meanwhile, two new characters who will join the fight against the unknown enemy will be introduced.

"Quantico" season 2 went on a month-long break, but it returns next Monday with a newly formed team chosen by President Claire Haas (Macia Cross).

As seen from the episode 14 promo, Alex and her newly assembled team, which includes Ryan (jake McLaughlin), Shelby (Johanna Braddy), and Raina (Yasmine Al Massri), listen as the president briefs them of their group's purpose.

"What you're doing goes beyond the FBI and CIA. It's illegal and sanctioned only by me," President Haas says as she reminds them that she put the presidency on the line for this mission.

The synopsis from the episode listing on The Futon Critic reads, "In the wake of the G20 hostage crisis, President Claire Haas assembles an illegal and clandestine joint task force, bringing together Alex and her friends from both the FBI and CIA to unmask a global conspiracy."

Two new characters will also be joining the President's covert task force in bringing down the conspiracy, as Krysta Rodriguez and Hunter Parrish will be appearing on the March 20 episode.

TVLine reports that Rodriguez will be portraying Maxine Griffin from the White Hosue who is described as "intelligent, passionate, and fiercely driven."

Griffin happens to be related to Parrish's character as his fiancée. Parrish's character is still kept in the dark, but he is already seen on the promo letting the team know that their mission is "beyond classified. It doesn't exist."

Showrunner Josh Safran shared with Deadline that Parrish's role was tailor-made for him and that the fans will soon enjoy how his character fits into the whole story of "Quantico."

"Quantico" season 2 returns with episode 14 on Monday, March 20, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
