The Ram 1500 Rebel Black, a special edition full-size pickup truck, will be introduced at the upcoming North American International Auto Show. With this new trim, the Ram Rebel gains a more distinct appearance and becomes more enticing for off-road aficionados.

"Adding the Rebel Black package to an already aggressive off-road truck will continue feeing the momentum Rebel is creating for the Ram Truck brand. The Ram Rebel is unique in the full-size truck segment with 33-inch off-road tires, air suspension and custom interior details," said Mike Manley, head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA — Global.

The Rebel Black special edition adapts dark features into its design as seen in the black wheels, brush guard and all-black interiors. Inside the cabin, there are black anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster. The heated seats come with a black "Rebel" embroidery with Light Slate Grey accent stitching, which also highlights the instrument panel, center console lid and doors. For even more luxurious interiors, prospective buyers can avail of the optional Black leather Katzkin seats. Despite the name, the Rebel Black package will be available in the variety of colors that the Ram 1500 is normally offered with.

The Ram 1500 Rebel Black will be available with a Crew Cab and a four-wheel drive system. It will come standard with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that is mated to a Torqueflite eight-speed automatic transmission to deliver 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque.

The special edition truck is also available with a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 powertrain that produces 396 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque. It features the Torqueflite 8 transmission, variable valve timing and fuel-saver technology. Customers can opt for either a two-wheel or a four-wheel drive system.

The Ram 1500 Rebel Black will arrive in dealerships in March. The special edition full-size pickup truck will have a starting price of $45,590, with an additional $1,320 destination charge.
