The problems faced by the housewives seemed puny in comparison to the health scare that fellow New York housewife Bethenny Frankel went through the past month.

In a tell-all interview with Good Morning America, the 45-year-old entrepreneur revealed that the excessive bleeding she experienced on the set of "The Real Housewives of New York City" was due to a fibroid issue. The health condition, as well as the surgery she had to undergo in May, prompted her to cut down her screen time for the current season.

During the interview, Bethenny reportedly said that the bleeding made her "so weak" and she felt like she "looked so haggard and had such black circles" under her eyes. Apparently, she felt "zoned out" so she had to take care of the issue.

Throughout her stint with "Real Housewives," Bethenny has openly spoken about suffering from endometriosis, cysts, and a miscarriage. She said that her most recent health scare was already affecting the way she was acting on the show, so she deemed it necessary to undergo a myomectomy in May to remove the uterine fibroids.

Knowing fans of the show were curious to find out what was really wrong with Bethenny's health, she decided to write an open letter explaining her condition. She posted the letter on her official website.

In the letter, she said that the fibroids her doctor discovered from years back had grown rapidly and doubled the size of her uterus. The fibroids had already caused her to lose about 10 percent of her blood, but now, she's recovering from her ordeal and feels so much better than before.

Meanwhile, Bethenny had to cancel the Mexico trip she planned for her and the ladies due to her condition. The ladies, who were excitedly anticipating the trip, were disappointed, but they knew Bethenny's health was more important than soaking themselves under the sun.

The latest episode likewise revealed that Sonja Morgan is sticking to her decision to quit drinking and that Jules Wainstein is trying to assert her financial independence from her husband, Michael. Could this be Jules' way of anticipating the end of her marriage?

Season 8 of "The Real Housewives of New York City" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on Bravo.
