"Red Dead Redemption 2" is all but confirmed to come to the PC, but one platform that the Rockstar Games title will be skipping is the Nintendo Switch, at least according to latest reports.

Game leakster Laura Dale of Lets Play Video Games, who has revealed information before about the Nintendo console, said on a recent livestream that the western shooter is very unlikely to find its way to the Nintendo Switch.

She said that there is still a lack of trust between Rockstar and Nintendo and considering the history of these game giants, it is deemed too big of a risk for the former to bring "Red Dead Redemption 2" to the new platform.

Dale also said that it is not likely for BioWare to bring its highly anticipated space shooter "Mass Effect: Andromeda" to be brought to the Nintendo Switch so as to not repeat the low sales performance of the "Mass Effect 3" on Wii U.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is currently only lined up to be playable on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and the PC, for which Rockstar is making a "brand-new online multiplayer experience."

Nintendo Switch has received praises from various game developers such as Activision and Bethesda Game Studios, who will be releasing titles for it.

Many are left impressed by the next-generation console for its power and what it has to offer. Whether or not this will change Rockstar's mind, there's no way of knowing just yet.

Not much is known about "Red Dead Redemption 2" although it is believed to be a prequel set during the Dutch Gang's prime.

According to the latest reports, John Marston is not the protagonist and that there will be three new characters that gamers will play as.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is set for release fall 2017. It is expected that Rockstar will reveal more about the game sooner rather than later.
