'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date rumors 2016: Map details leaked
"Red Dead Redemption 2" is yet to be confirmed by developer Rockstar Games, but there are already tons of details about the long-awaited sequel.
New details about the game have emerged in the form of leaks of the map, which suggests that the game will feature new locations.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will reportedly include a location called Kahuta. It is found in Pakistan and its name means "mountains that hold the sky."
Another location goes by the name Roanoke Valley, which is reportedly inspired by home of Native American tribes.
The leak suggests that the places in the first game that were only mentioned there will be in "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Meanwhile, Rockstar is reportedly looking to bulk up its staff by hiring an operations project manager, who is believed to be involved in the development of the sequel.
The job of the operations project manager is "to manage the entire project lifecycle of multiple initiatives from conception, to implementation, and through multiple stages of deployments and testing."
There is no direct mention of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the job description, but if this individual is involved in it, work on the game could be underway.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick, Rockstar's parent company, has mentioned in the past that the studio is working on its upcoming projects that they plan to reveal "soon."
"Red Dead Redemption 2" is believed to be one of the projects mentioned although it was never really clarified.
After this remark was made, fans hoped that the sequel of the 2010 Western hit will see the light of day after six years of waiting.
At the moment, even the timing of the reveal is a mystery although the surge of leaks and reports suggest fans are close to seeing the game in the flesh. Fans will just have to be patient in waiting.
