'Red Dead Redemption 2' release date rumors and news: Sequel to come out during fall of 2017?

When game developer Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive failed to announce the second installment of "Red Dead Redemption 2" during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, many fans were left disappointed. Nonetheless, video game observers were hoping that the company will finally unveil the highly anticipated game at Gamescom 2016. However, it didn't happen and again fans were left in dismay. As of the moment, Rockstar Games has yet to provide concrete details with regard to the development of the much-awaited sequel.

According to Mobile&Apps, there are heavy speculations suggesting that "Red Dead Redemption 2" might come out during the release of Sony's new console, the PlayStation Neo. If rumors prove to be true, the upcoming open world, Western action-adventure video game might debut on PlayStation Neo. Nevertheless, as expected by many fans, Rockstar Games has continued to remain silent regarding the new rumor.

Rumor has it that Rockstar Games are already working on the sequel. Whether it is true or not, the company chooses to keep the details of its development under wraps.

When the first installment of the game came out in 2010, fans and critics immediately speculated that a sequel isn't far off. The critical and commercial success of "Red Dead Redemption" was so huge that people started to think of the second installment to be made in the next couple of years. However, it did not happen and fans are still waiting for "Red Dead Redemption 2" 6 years since the previous game.

Meanwhile, Christian Times reported that the highly anticipated sequel might come out as early as next year. Apparently, the game will arrive carrying the title "Legends of the West" and it will be launched during fall of 2017. There are also speculations suggesting that the second installment will feature more than one playable character.
