It is still uncertain if the second installment of the "Red Dead Redemption" series will ever come out in the market. However, fans of the game will now have something to get excited about following an announcement from game developer Rockstar Games that the original title will arrive on July 8, Friday, on Xbox One.

According to the report, "Red Dead Redemption" will be available as part of Microsoft's backward compatibility program.

Many fans believe that the arrival of the first installment could be a good indication that Rockstar Games may have already started the development of the highly anticipated second installment of the open world, western action-adventure video game.

After a disappointing no-show at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, the arrival of the original game on Microsoft's backward compatibility program definitely gives a little hope for fans who have been waiting for the second installment for many years.

Following the disappointments over the possible unveiling of "Red Dead Redemption 2" during the E3 2016 event in Los Angeles last month, avid "RDR" fans are still hopeful for the possibility of a prequel or sequel to the game. As they patiently wait for "RDR 2," Rockstar Games is offering an "RDR" Xbox One for Xbox 360 owners.

According to a report by Daily Express, "Red Dead Redemption" will be launched via backward compatibility program, along with other titles such as "Bioshock," "Bioshock 2," "Bioshock Infinite" and "Skate 2."

Meanwhile, Tech Times reported that the silence of Rockstar Games and its parent company Take-Two Interactive with regard to a sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" might also mean that there will never be another Red Dead title. As of now, all fans have are merely just rumors and speculations, which have yet to be confirmed by the game developer.
