While the game is still a long way from being complete, many are already eagerly anticipating the arrival of "Resident Evil 7" and fans are certainly excited for it to be unveiled anytime soon.

In fact, many are waiting for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 event, which will run from June 14 to 16, as it is expected that the game will be unveiled to the public for the first time.

As reported by NSEA Voice, the game may be taking a step back for now as Capcom may be concentrating on a remake of one of its most popular editions of the franchise, "Resident Evil 2."

And while the proposition that two "Resident Evil" games may be released in one year may be exciting, it is very unlikely as it would be a huge letdown in terms of sales.

Most people may delay buying the game, which would be sold at a later date, to fully enjoy and finish the "Resident Evil" game that was purchased earlier.

There are other major reasons why that is a bad idea so the best take on it now is that the remake will be available in 2016, while "Resident Evil 7" will be for a 2017 release.

The reason behind this may be because the remake may be easier to send out due to the fact that there is already a storyline for the game and all the developers need to do is enhance it, and the fact that there are rumors and news that they will return "Resident Evil 7" to its horror roots which made the franchise a success.

As known by gamers, some of the most recent "Resident Evil" games were not well-received and that is the reason why they are leaning on returning back to what made it great: horror stories.

As per the Twitter post by Kantan Games CEO Derkan Toto, the game is coming back to its roots so that it would almost guarantee a great game.

But for now, fans will have to go to E3 2016 to see their first sights of the game.
