After teasing a new single for a day on her Twitter account and other social media accounts, Rihanna released it on March 26th. The single titled "B--Better Have My Money" is a major departure from other songs from the Grammy award winning artist and is the second single from her upcoming album which is currently titled "R8".

A day before she released the single, Rihanna put out a URL on Twitter and directed fans to click on it to listen to the single. However, fans who did were disappointed as they had to download the app Dubsmash and then could only listen to two 10 second portions from the song.

This promotion of the song via Dubsmash was soon picked up by the media and criticized as an unnecessary step as the app was only used by those who wanted to create videos while singing along with short snippets of music.

Rihanna seemed oblivious to this criticism and "BBHMM" was released the next day via radio and iTunes. The song was quickly described by Vox as "a bass-heavy, confidence-drenched hit that's bound to climb the charts".

In the trap inspired song Rihanna sings "Don't act like you forgot / b---h, I call the shots" just before the chorus as a reminder that this song is all about doing music in her own style.

In a recent interview to MTV News the singer stated that she wanted to make "songs that are timeless" and "BBHMM" looks like an effort in that direction. Importantly it is completely different from the other single from her upcoming album titled "FourFiveSeconds" which features collaborations with Sir Paul McCartney and Kanye West.

As for the rest of the songs from the album Rihanna has released snippets of "Higher" via her Instagram account. She also provided the song "American Oxygen" for March Madness promos, but it is also not a full version.
