The CW has unveiled a new promotional video for the upcoming debut of their new TV series, "Riverdale," which is based on the characters from Archie Comics.

The new clip shares some new scenes and hints on the classic love triangle between Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), and Veronica (Camila Mendes).

The clip begins with a scene in which Archie puts his shirt on inside his bedroom while Betty watches with her gay friend (Kevin Keller) from her own room located next-door. Another scene shows Archie and Betty hanging out together in Pop Tate's restaurant, Choklit Shoppe. Their private conversation is disrupted by the arrival of Veronica, a beautiful dark-haired girl.

"When he [Archie] sees Veronica, it's just endgame," Apa is seen saying on the promo clip about the love triangle.

Reinhart, on the other hand, hints that the show will be revealing some unexpected twists along the way as the show progresses.

"It's going to be really, really exciting to see what actually is going to happen," Reinhart said in the video.

As reported by AceShowbiz, the cast of the upcoming teen drama will also include Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Luke Perry as Fred Andrews, Ashleigh Murray as Josie McCoy, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom, Ross Butler as Reggie Mantle, Sarah Habel as Ms. Grundy, Marisol Nichols as Hermione Lodge, Madchen Amick as Alice Cooper, Shannon Purser as Ethel Muggs, and Robin Givens as Mayor Sierra McCoy.

According to Inquisitr, The CW's "Riverdale" follows the lives and romances of the classic Archie comic book characters in a modern-day setting. However, based on the promo videos released online, the show will have a more serious and mature tone compared to the comic series it is adapted from. It will also have a much darker and more detailed plot than the comics.

The first episode of "Riverdale" will premiere on Jan. 26, 2017 on The CW.
