'Rizzoli & Isles' season 7 spoilers: Someone from Maura's past prime suspect in murder? Jane makes life-altering decision?
There are only five episodes left before the seventh and final season of police procedural drama "Rizzoli & Isles" bids adieu to its loyal viewers. However, fans would have to wait until Aug. 15 before episode 10 airs.
The handful of episodes left for "Rizzoli & Isles" are expected to form the show's legacy, but viewers of the series know that from the get-go, the Angie Harmon- and Sasha Alexander-starrer has always managed to pull everything thrown its way off.
Last Monday's episode 9, which was titled "65 Hours," found Jane (Harmon) getting ready to attend a murder trial. However, a valuable piece of evidence was stolen, so Vince Korsak (Bruce McGill) told Jane she didn't need to appear in court anymore to testify.
Maura (Alexander) made Jane understand that proving something in court, more so something involving a murder, would be next to impossible if they didn't have the evidence. Hence, Jane resigned herself to the fact that the case could possibly be dismissed, what with the murder weapon missing. There was no way she can prove a motive for the murder.
After the brief hiatus, "Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 would be back with episode 10, which would be titled "For Richer or Poorer." Harmon helmed the 100th episode of the series. This time around, it would Alexander making her directorial debut.
In this episode, Jane and Maura would find themselves getting involved in a complicated Ponzi scheme or a fraudulent investment scam. Apparently, a forensic accountant was found dead in a park. The duo's investigation led to their embroilment in the investment scam. The catch is the major suspect in the crime is someone from Maura's past.
It appears the episode would also feature an important scene showing Jane making a huge decision about her career. Where would this decision lead her? Is she thinking about leaving the force? How is the episode's suspect related to Maura?
"Rizzoli & Isles" season 7 episode 10, which airs Monday, Aug. 15, at 9 p.m. EST on TNT would shed light on those questions.
