December marks the arrival of Gareth Edwards' "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" and fans couldn't be more excited to re-enter the same timeline as that of the original trilogy. New promo images have surfaced that give a better look at the movie's version of Darth Vader as well as Jyn Erso's (Felicity Jones) Rogue One squadron.

The images were leaked by Pyramid International. It features a ton of new artwork with all of the new characters appearing in the movie. So far, there have not been too many images of Vader, but now fans can get a full-blown portrait of the Emperor's right hand as he stands in front of a projection of the Death Star.

As for Rogue One, there's a closer look at the non-human members of the squadron. All the promos have been focused on Erso, Cassian (Diego Luna) and Chirrut (Donnie Yen), but this time around, new characters like Bistan and Pao have entered the spotlight.

According to some reports, Pao has the nickname "Bigmouth" and he's the one responsible for handling troops. His huge mouth allows him to bark orders and shout at them when in the battlefield.

Bistan is the raccoon-type creature that was featured in the Rogue One sizzle reel and he's part of the new lakaru species. Edwards says that the character won't really be delved into, but he is one of the director's favorites.

On the Imperial side of things, fans get a first look at the AT-ST a.k.a. the "chicken walker" from Endor. There are also new looks from Orson Krennic (Ben Mendehlson) and his squadron of Death Troopers.

There's a good chance that more promotional material will be released as the movie's release date draws nearer, so fans just have to keep their eyes peeled.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" premieres on Friday, Dec. 16.
