This holiday season, mobile games fanatics can try "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" as it ventures from consoles to handsets. The title can be played on Android and iOS devices with all the exciting gameplay taken from the "RollerCoaster Tycoon" and its sequel.

Atari has made the announcement on Dec. 22 with game producer Chris Sawyer expressing his excitement over the new platform. He said, "As the creator of the original RollerCoaster Tycoon PC games many years ago, I have seen how much excitement and entertainment they have brought to players all over the world."

"It was my long-term ambition to bring the classic game to modern touch screen devices as its visual style and tactile nature are so well suited to smartphones and tablets. I believe fans of the RCT series will greatly enjoy playing the classic titles enhanced on a new platform," he added.

"RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" jumped into the bandwagon of classic games being brought up to the mobile world. One of the most famous titles to do such endeavor is "Super Mario Run."

One interesting note about "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" is that it has all new features to offer. These include managing the entire park, in which players have to involve themselves with landscaping, staff management and accounting, among others.

Atari rolled out the "RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic" with a bundle for $6. There are also available in-app options to choose from, including "Time Twisters" and "Wacky World," which can be acquired for $1.99. Players can do import and export options to save their games, but it comes with a price. To totally enjoy the game with all the features unlocked, players would have to shell out $16.

As for the PC players, Atari has just rolled out the "Atari Vault" this year with 100 classic games to choose from.

The price should be reasonable, considering that it is a classic game. To appreciate it even more, here is a video that sums all the features together.
