When Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes crushed Ronda Rousey in 48 seconds, everybody knew Rousey would have a lot on her mind. Rousey was a no-show during the post-fight news conference, but she did release a statement to ESPN saying that she has to take some time off to think about her future.

Rousey may not have closed the door on her mixed martial arts (MMA) career just yet, but a number of people believe that she should just retire before she gets hurt even more.

"I think making snap decisions like that is probably not the best idea, so I don't know. I would like to see her retire. I would have liked to have seen her retire a long time ago. Who wants to see their kid get hit? She's got a lot of talent to do other things," Rousey's mother, Ann Maria DeMars, told TMZ on Friday after the fight.

Rousey does have a bright future ahead of her if she continues to star in movies. Some fans even say she should just sign with the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and earn millions there.

Nunes also thinks that this was the end of the line for the former champion. "Yeah that's it for her. She can't take it any more. If she wanted a rematch, it would be the same thing. She can't take my punches," Nunes said (via Yahoo Sports).

Nunes has a point. Rousey looked like a punching bag out there, and she has absolutely zero head movement. If Rousey wants to fight again, she will have to fix those issues first otherwise her head is going to look like a stationary target.

ESPN's Arash Markazi also believes that Rousey should retire, and he also noted that she has already done so much for the sport, especially the women's division.

So, what's next for Rousey? Will she retire once and for all?
