Saeed Abedini, an American-Iranian pastor who was imprisoned in Iran for three-and-a-half years, expressed his belief that Donald Trump will be the best president in the history of America.

"What I believe about Donald Trump is that he will be the best President of United States of America ever, even better than Ronald Reagan," the pastor wrote on Facebook last Friday.

He compared the casino owner to Cyrus, the king of ancient Persia who was mentioned in the book of Isaiah as a ruler anointed by God to help the Israelites return to their homeland.

"He is a modern day Cyrus and he has a special calling and anointing for what he has been called by God to do. Mr. Trump will take the whole world NOT just America to the new level that the world never has never seen before," Abedini continued.

The pastor claimed that it was revealed to him by God that Trump is the modern day Cyrus and he has felt strongly about the president-elect since he received the revelation.

"Mr. Trump is the answer of all the people's prayers. I believe Lord will help our President-Elect in a supernatural ways from heaven," he concluded.

Before election day, Abedini claimed to have received a vision that Trump would be the president. He said that the vision came to him while he was in solitary confinement in Iran.

He said that he looked through the 19 candidates in 2015 and was disappointed when he did not see the man in his vision but was astounded when he saw a picture of a man with blond hair and blue eyes who turned out to be Trump as a young man.

The pastor expressed his support for Trump in late October and revealed that the business magnate gave $10,000 to his family while he was still in prison.

Abedini was arrested in Iran in 2012 and sentenced to eight years imprisonment for evangelizing. Trump spoke out in support for the pastor as early as 2013. Abedini's wife, Nagmeh, met with the real-estate mogul to personally thank him for helping the campaign to secure Abedini's release.
