Samsung is reportedly going to release another version of the Galaxy A3 smartphone. After the Galaxy A3 (2016), the South Korean tech giant is planning to release the Galaxy A3 (2017), which was spotted on the benchmarking website Geekbench just recently.

According to reports, this isn't the first time that the Galaxy A3 (2017) appeared online. It was also previously spotted in other websites including GFXBench, Zauba and Bluetooth Special Interest Group (ISG). However, Samsung has not yet made any official announcement about the said smartphone model.

Nonetheless, the listing revealed that the purported Galaxy A3 (2017) will sport a 4.7-inch display with 720 pixels HD resolution. Carrying the model number SM-A320F, Geekbench noted that the device scored a 751 for single core and 4,071 multicores.

It's also said that the handset will be equipped with a 1.6 GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 processor paired with a Mali-T830 GPU. It will run with 2 GB of RAM matched with a native storage capacity of 8 GB that can be expanded further via a microSD card. It will be pre-installed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow but a report cited that another version will come out and it's expected to carry the Samsung TouchWiz UI.

As for the camera specs, it will feature a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-MP front camera. There is no word yet regarding the battery capacity but the previous model carried a non-removable Li-Ion 2,300 mAh battery. The company also claimed up to 14 hours talk time and up to 58 hours music play, as detailed in GSM Arena.

It is still unknown when the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) may be released but speculations suggested that it will most likely come out this December. This is also the same month that the previous Galaxy A3 model was launched. The predicted price tag for the device is $155.

Fans will have to stay tuned for more updates on Samsung's Galaxy A3 (2017) version.
