When rumors about the Samsung Galaxy A9 started to circulate all over the internet, tech freaks were hoping that the new smartphone will be released outside the Asian market. However, according to the latest reports, the upcoming handset from the South Korean tech giant may not make it to the European and North American markets.

If rumors prove to be true, a lot of people will be disappointed with Samsung's decision to keep the device in one region. According to a report by Sam Mobile, Samsung's plan about the Galaxy A9 release does not include any market outside Asia. The publication added that the handset will only be available in countries such as Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia and China. However, for the South East Asian countries, no particular date has been announced by Samsung.

It was previously reported that another version of the hybrid phablet will be released internationally. There were reports saying that the device was seen in the Federal Communications Commission or FCC in the U.S. with a SM-A910F model number. Interestingly, the rumor has died down, erasing the possibility of the handset getting rolled out in the western market.

According to Mobipicker, part of the reason why the device will not make it globally is because of it size. Large-sized handsets in the western markets normally come in 5 to 5.5 inches, while the Samsung Galaxy A9 carries a 6-inch screen. Apparently, Samsung will be having a hard time finding a good market if they decide to roll out the device globally.

Although the Samsung Galaxy A9 is not as popular as the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, the phablet certainly has impressive specs under the hood. The device runs on a Snapdragon 652 processor from Qualcomm, which is paired with 4 GB of RAM. It also carries a 16-megapixel primary snapper and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter.

Other specs include a 32 GB internal storage capacity, high-definition AMOLED display and a 5,000 mAh battery, which Samsung claimed to last many hours of continuous usage.
