Samsung Galaxy C9 release date, news, rumors: Samsung to replace Galaxy Note 7 with Galaxy C9?
The Galaxy Note 7 is supposed to be among the biggest device offerings of Samsung this year and expected by many to bring in more profit for the South Korean tech giant. Unfortunately, the succeeding weeks after the Galaxy Note 7's release in the market have seen a high number of reports of the device overheating, or worse, catching fire on itself. Samsung already ordered the total recall of all the released Galaxy Note 7 units worldwide, consequently affecting the company's stocks for this year. However, there is still hope that Samsung would be able to bounce back from the Galaxy Note 7 mishap, and all it takes is another huge device.
According to the rumors, Samsung may already be planning to release the Galaxy Note 7's successor early next year. In fact, Samsung may decide to release the Galaxy Note 8 as early as possible to fix the fiasco caused by the Note 7 in the company. However, contrary to the earlier Galaxy Note 8 rumors, it is also possible that Samsung will release a premium smartphone instead of an enhanced phablet model. With this, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy C9 smartphone as early as this year.
Furthermore, the anticipated release of the Galaxy C9 will come earlier than the usual February or March schedule of unveiling a new Galaxy S smartphone. The usual Galaxy Note phablet release usually happens in August or September, so the rumored 2016 release of the Galaxy C9 to replace the Galaxy Note 7 will coincide with the ongoing cleanup of the defective phablets.
As the successor of the Galaxy C7, the tech enthusiasts can expect impressive specs lineup for the Galaxy C9. Although, being the replacement device for the Galaxy Note 7 might further upgrade the features of the Galaxy C7's successor. According to iTech Post, the Galaxy C9 will boast an impressive 6GB RAM, making it the smartphone from Samsung with the biggest RAM capacity.
As for the Galaxy C9's camera features, the smartphone is expected to boast at least 16MP for both the rear and front camera, which is a huge improvement over its predecessor. The Galaxy C9 may also be bigger than the Galaxy C7 with its 6-inch full HD screen display. The smartphone is said to use an AMOLED panel for its screen.
