Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Date, Specs Review: Coming On October 17, 2014
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the new phablet from Samsung due to go on sale on October 17th . Billed as a successor to the Galaxy Note 3 which was released last year, it looks to help the series keep its ranking as the best selling phablet line amid an onslaught from the iPhone 6 Plus.
A cross between phones and tablets, the Galaxy Note series is famous for coming loaded with various software features and its ubiquitous S pen. Breathecast is reporting that the Galaxy Note 4 will feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen. With a resolution of 2560 x 1440 which allows for 515 pixels per inch. This phablet has a 16-megapixel rear facing camera which records videos at 30 frames-per-second, added to it is optical image stabilization which virtually guarantees blur free images. Expertreviews notes that the display could be jaw dropping, as the AMOLED panel is paired with the floating affect of the 2.5 glass.
The design of the Galaxy Note 4 gets special mention by 9to5Google, which notes that its premium metal frame is much better than the plastic frame of the Galaxy Note 3. The processor on this particular phablet is the Snapdragon 805 quad-core which operates at 2.7GHz and it is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of onboard storage. The onboard storage can be expanded using MicroSD, and it has a 3,220 mAh battery.
Expertreviews also notes the Galaxy Note 4 S pen has been upgraded and currently features increased pressure sensitivity. Also it can operate just like a mouse on a computer and users can click on content and drag it to select it.
The battery on the Galaxy Note 4 allows for faster charging and the smartphone can be reach 50% charge after being plugged in for about thirty minutes. ITechPost is also reporting that the phablet is extremely durable as it survived a number of drop tests.
