Samsung Galaxy Note 8 release date, specs rumors: first details on Note 7 follow-up's impressive features leaked
The Samsung Galaxy S8 may have been getting most of the attention, but the company is also working on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and first details about the phablet have found their way online.
Business Korea has revealed two features of the next-generation Note device. First is a new digital assistant known as Bixby. Unlike Siri from Apple and Cortana from Microsoft, Bixby will have a male voice.
The voice-activated AI or Artificial Intelligence system will reportedly be one of the key features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 although it is expected to debut in the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Other than that, there is no information on what Bixby has to offer and how it differs from the rest other than the male voice.
The second feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is an ultra high-definition 4K display, which will make for a smoother virtual reality (VR) experience. It will reportedly be made compatible with the new Gear VR wearable.
Business Korea also said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with an improved stylus, but did not elaborate on how the accessory will be enhanced.
By the sound of these features, Samsung is dead serious in redeeming the trust of users not only in the Note brand but in the entire company itself.
Samsung was in seriously hot water after the release of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which was discovered to have exploding batteries. It got worse to the point that carrying the handset on a plane was prohibited.
The South Korea-based company took a huge loss because of this but Samsung is looking to earn the trust of its fans back and learn from its mishap.
If the reports are anything to go by, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 could actually make users forget about the disastrous Note 7 launch.
Fans will not hear about the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 from its maker itself anytime soon as Samsung will first reveal the results of their investigation on the fire issues of the Note 7.
