It has been a busy past few days in terms of rumors for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. Multiple leaks made the rounds online including what could possibly the first look at the anticipated smartphone.

In a report by BGR, the media outlet cites a rendered image from third-party case maker, Ghostek, which shows the device inside the company's Atomic 3 waterproof cases. Although the casing did not fully show the overall look of the gadget much of its major physical attributes can still be seen. The image, which seems to be somewhat patterned from an earlier photo of the Samsung Galaxy S8 that came out last week, coincides with majority of the aesthetics rumors for the smartphone. These include the phone's curved Super active-matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) screen and the absence of a physical home button. Interestingly, no finger scanner is also seen, which makes a lot of tech junkies assume that Samsung is rolling out a different kind of ploy to incorporate in the device such as embedding it on the display itself.

Although Ghostek is a well-known case maker for big tech brands like Samsung and Apple, it is still difficult to gauge whether this render is authentic or it is just purely put together based on floating rumors. The article points out that the company claims that it does have credible sources to back up the render, although at this point, it is difficult to have the intel verified.

Meanwhile, new information regarding the ports for the Samsung Galaxy S8 has also come to life courtesy of a tip from WCCFTech. A total of three cutouts can be seen in a supposed image of a case specifically designed for the smartphone, and among these is the highly tipped 3.5mm headphone jack. The second one is a speaker cutout, while the last one is a Type-C USB cutout. On top of that, the housing render also inadvertently slams rumors of the device sporting a dual camera as it only has a single cutout for a rear snapper lens.

A release date is yet to be confirmed but word has it that it is expected to be launched in April via a Samsung-hosted event.
