Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs news 2016: Next gen flagship smartphone to come out early 2017?

When the Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphone was launched earlier this year, it immediately captured the attention of consumers all over the world. Following the disappointing launching of Samsung Galaxy Note 7, fans and critics are now anticipating the eighth iteration of Samsung's flagship smartphone. According to reports, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will arrive with better specs and features than its predecessor.

According to a report by Know Your Mobile, the South Korean tech giant will no longer release a flat screen variant for the Galaxy S8. Apparently, Samsung has already decided to roll out a single curved screen variant for the next flagship device. The highly anticipated Galaxy S8 is expected to come with a 5.5-in AMOLED screen with 4K capabilities.

There are speculations that the Galaxy S8 will carry the new Bio Blue technology from Samsung, which the company has already demonstrated during an event this year. However, there are also rumors suggesting that Samsung may only produce the Galaxy S8 with QHD resolution, which is still an advanced display feature today.

Reports are circulating that one of Samsung's main focus for the rumored Galaxy S8 is its camera feature. There are speculations saying that a new sensor technology might be used to ensure better quality photo output compared to its previous model. A dual rear camera sensor is expected for the new S8, which will be at 18 MP.

Meanwhile, in a report by Express.co.uk, an insider claimed that Samsung's Galaxy S8 will arrive in two screen sizes—one with 5.5-inch screen and the other has 5.1-inch display. Both devices are said to come in curved edges.

Although Samsung has yet to provide the development and release details for the Galaxy S8, there are speculations suggesting that the device may come out early next year.
