South Korean tech giant Samsung is not slowing down anytime soon, despite its recent problems with the Galaxy Note 7. This Friday, the company will be launching its new tablet, the Galaxy Tab A.

According to reports, the latest tablet will have significant upgrades compared to its previous models. The device will have a larger display and better screen resolution. The Tab A will have a 10.1-inch WUXGA display, which will offer a 1,920 x 1,200 resolution. Moreover, the Tab A will be featuring the S Pen stylus. Using the stylus, tech enthusiasts will be able to write, draw and animate with the upcoming Samsung tablet.

The device will reportedly have an Octa-core Exynos 7870 processor. Its RAM will be able to accommodate up to 3 GB of storage. Aside from this, the Tab A will have a 16 GB storage capacity. This, however, can be expanded. The tablet now offers a microSD card slot which can fit up to 256 GB of storage. Furthermore, Tab A will have a 7,300 mAh battery that can support up to 13 hours of video streaming. Despite the upgrade, the device is still not as high-end as the Galaxy Tab S2 or the Galaxy TabPro S.

Like other Samsung devices, the tablet will have the standard WiFi connectivity, the Bluetooth 4.2 LE as well as a USB 2.0. So far, the tech giant hasn't confirmed if the Tab A can support LTE.

Samsung's upcoming tablet will come in two color variants: black and white. For $349.99, Samsung enthusiasts will have a brand new tablet that is powered by an Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The company still hasn't announced if the device will be able to host the latest Android operating system.

Until Samsung confirms the latest reports, fans should treat these as speculation.
