Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 release date, news, specs rumors: Next Galaxy tablet to be released March 2017?
For the past several months, there have been rumors that the next iteration of the Samsung Galaxy Tab would be unveiled before the end of 2016. The last event where the South Korean tech company could have presented the Galaxy Tab S3 happened last September, and much to other people's dismay, Samsung focused on the current Galaxy Note 7 instead. As of the meantime, there is still hope that the Galaxy Tab S3 will be released in the coming months. After all, Samsung would need all the future hardware releases to distract the public from the recent Galaxy Note 7 issues.
The last Samsung press event was first believed to present the Galaxy Tab S3. It turned out that the highlight of the event would be the Galaxy Note 7 phablet, leaving no other room for a new Galaxy tablet to be presented. As the 2016 release date rumors for the Galaxy Tab S3 appear to have busted, it is now expected that the upcoming tablet will appear in the first quarter of 2017. According to Neurogadget, it is possible that the Galaxy Tab S3 will be released sometime in March 2017.
The online tech publication also reported a recently leaked picture of a tablet that is claimed to be the upcoming Galaxy Tab S3. Basing on this image, it looks like the Galaxy Tab S3 will be very similar to its predecessor. However, it remains to be known how much of the Galaxy Tab S2's design will be retained, and how many color variants will be made available for the Galaxy Tab S3's design.
GSM Arena reported that the Galaxy Tab S2 will have two variants. Both variants are expected to maintain the 4:3 display ratio of the previous Galaxy Tab devices and the plastic back of its predecessors is likely to be retained as well. As for the size, the smaller variant is rumored to be around 8 inches in length, while the larger variant will be around 9.7 inches long.
