There have been rampant rumors regarding the development and release of Samsung's Galaxy Tab S3. Previous reports suggested that the upcoming tablet will come out before the year ends. Now, the South Korean tech giant has officially confirmed its launch date through their Colombian website. According to the report, the successor of the highly touted Galaxy Tab S2 will be unveiled on Sept. 2 at the yearly IFA event in Berlin, Germany.

The post has since been taken down by Samsung. Apparently, the Galaxy Tab S3 will be launched alongside the much awaited Galaxy Note 7 in Europe.

While everyone is excited to know the official specs and features of the new tablet, Ausdroid has recently spotted the new device on the FCC. Although it did not reveal much details about the device, the presence of the tablet on the U.S. regulatory board signals its arrival anytime soon.

According to the publication, the 9.7-inch Samsung device with a processor that has a speed of 1.6 MHz will most likely get the same design as its predecessor.

According to The BitBag, Samsung will most likely release two Galaxy Tab S3 – an 8.0-inch and 9.7-inch models. The two devices will carry a 2048 x 1536 display resolution equipped with Super AMOLED technology.

The publication said that the device is expected to come with a Snapdragon 652 processor from Qualcomm, which has four Cortex-A72 CPU cores and four Cortex-A53 CPU cores onboard. The processor will be paired with 3 GB of RAM. The new Galaxy Tab S3 will also carry the Adreno 510 GPU for better graphics.

The base unit of the next generation Galaxy Tab S will carry a 32 GB onboard storage capacity, which is expandable to up to 128 GB using microSD.
