The South Korean tech giant, Samsung, has recently announced their next generation smartwatch, the Samsung Gear S3. According to the report, the third model of the Gear series will come out in two variants, the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier and the Samsung Gear S3 Classic. Details about its development and release date have already surfaced on the internet.

According to a report by Phone Arena, Samsung has partnered with Yvan Arpa, a popular wristwatch manufacturer, to come up with a better design for the new Gear S3. The company has also worked with Arik Levy to help them with the overall design especially on its strap and watch-face appearance. What's interesting about the new Samsung Gear S3 is that it would not run on Android operating system. Samsung has decided to use its own Tizen OS to control the highly anticipated wearable device.

The two variants of Samsung Gear S3 will come with the same rotating bezel that was introduced by the company on Samsung Gear S2.

In a report by Android Authority, Samsung Gear S3 Frontier will be perfect for athletes as it carries a rugged appeal and a sporty design. The smartwatch comes in black color with rubber straps. On the other hand, the Samsung Gear S3 Classic has an elegant style and a classier appeal.

The two variants of Gear S3 are both running on Samsung's Exynos 7270 dual-core processor with a speed of 1.0 GHz. It is paired with 768 MB of RAM and an internal storage capacity of 4 GB. Both models will also carry a screen size of 46 mm in diameter, which is protected by an all new Gorilla Glass SR+.

Meanwhile, according to GSMArena, both Gear S3 model will be priced at $445. Although release date specifics have yet to be confirmed, the Samsung Gear S3 will come be launched in October.
