It has been a rollercoaster for Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers in the past few days, and rumors are circulating that the relationship between the two may end soon.

At the moment, Kaepernick is in the middle of a controversy after refusing to stand for the national anthem in their pre-season game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Niners quarterback claimed it was his symbolic protest against unjust practices against people of color, and Kaepernick is adamant he will continue to do so until there is a significant change.

This may be the last straw in his stay with the Niners as it is rumored that he is on his way out of the team before the start of the season.

Despite being one of the top-paid players in the Niners, Kaepernick finds himself out of a spot as Blaine Gabbert is considered as the top quarterback on the team, and that could very well mean Kaepernick will spend time on the sideline.

Sports Rageous links Kaepernick to a move to the Dallas Cowboys as they are lacking depth at the quarterback position with Tony Romo suffering another injury.

The Cowboys have rookie Dak Prescott in the line-up, but his inexperience may be too much for the Cowboys and they may settle for Kaepernick instead.

Morning News USA also reported on the rumor of Kaepernick finding a new home as there are many believing that the Niners may not even consider playing him after what happened with the Packers and the national anthem.

The San Francisco team is trying to distance itself from any controversy and having Kaepernick in the middle of one, and seemingly ready to lose his job over it, is something that the Niners do not need.

It appears that this is simply something that should happen sooner than later as the Niners want to move on while Kaepernick would want to be in a franchise that wants him around.
