Sarah Palin's Family Reportedly In Brawl At Alaska House Party
Reports from Alaska indicate that the family of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin may have been involved in a brawl following a snow mobile party over the weekend.
A police report from Anchorage, as well as eyewitness reports from local bloggers, indicate a physical fight took place at the Iron Dog snowmobile race's afterparty on Saturday evening. The report states that members of the Palin family were present at the party and during the brawl, and that alcohol played a role in the incident.
The incident reportedly took place when Track Palin, son to Sarah Palin, attacked the ex-boyfriend of sister Willow Palin at the party. Eyewitnesses claim Bristol Palin then became involved, delivering multiple sharp right hooks to the ex-boyfriend of Willow.
"She was punching him in the face like six times; it was an assault if I've ever seen one," Eric Thompson, one of the 70 guests attending the house party, told ABC News.
"It wasn't a light punch either. She was really hitting him. I'm surprised he just sat there and took it."
Other eyewitness accounts indicated that other Palin family members also got into the multi-person brawl, and multiple people claim Sarah Palin was reportedly yelling "do you know who I am?"
"I heard Sarah Palin yell 'do you know who I am?' All of us could not believe it. We thought we were watching an episode of Jerry Springer," Thompson added.
Amanda Coyne, a political blogger for Anchorage, also claimed that Palin yelled "Don't you know who I am!" and someone in the crowd added: "This isn't some damned Hillbilly reality show!"
Anchorage Police Department's communications director Jennifer Castro confirmed to The Washington Post that "just before midnight Anchorage police responded to a report of a verbal and physical altercation taking place between multiple subjects […]."
"At the time of the incident, none of the involved parties wanted to press charges and no arrests were made," she said. "However, the case is still an active investigation and is being reviewed by APD and the Municipal Prosecutors Office. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party."
