Jeff Perry's real-life daughter, Zoe Perry, landed a recurring role in "Scandal" season 6.

The actor is known for portraying the role of President Grant's (Tony Goldwyn) former Chief of Staff Cyrus Beene. Currently, there are no details yet regarding the role that Zoe Perry will portray in the upcoming season of the political drama thriller. Yet this is not her first time to appear in a TV show from Shondaland. She was also seen in an episode of "Grey's Anatomy" in 2012 as well as its spin-off series "Private Practice" back in 2008.

Perry's debut in "Scandal" season 6 remains under wraps.

"Glee" star Jessalyn Gilsig also joined the cast of "Scandal" in its upcoming season after the role of Jake's wife Vanessa was recast. She will replace Joelle Carter who portrayed the role in season 5 since the actress landed a series regular role on NBC's "Chicago Justice."

Meanwhile, speculations claim that Governor Vargas will win against Mellie in the upcoming presidential elections. This means that the Grants will no longer hold the most powerful position in the United States.

Yet Mobile N Apps speculated that Vargas might not stay in the White House for long. According to the report, there could be a possibility to see the former governor dead due to assassination. He could either be killed under Mellie's orders, or Cyrus will plot to kill him since he is known for aiming to become the president of the United States for a long time.

ABC will air the premiere episode of "Scandal" season 6 on Thursday, January 19, 2017. It is part of the midseason lineup of the network to accommodate the pregnancy of lead star Kerry Washington.
