Selena Gomez surprised the crowd at a Christian concert in Los Angeles on Thursday by appearing on stage and belting out a heartfelt song to God titled "Nobody."
Selena Gomez joined the Hillsong Church's Young & Free praise and worship band onstage and sang her song "Nobody." The 23-year-old singer said the event was more than just a concert, and she described a relationship with God as something more important than anything.
When Gomez appeared onstage, the crowd cheered loudly, and she briefly thanked the band for giving her the chance to perform with them at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, according to Christian Today.
"Tonight is more than a concert, it's more than Hillsong, it's more than me coming on stage and singing a song for you," Gomez said onstage. "It's about a relationship that is greater than anything, guaranteed."
Gomez said the song she wrote tells about something that holds everything together even when she herself can no longer do it. While singing, there were times when the singer lifted up her hands in praise, the report details.
The second verse of "Nobody" talks about God releasing her from sin after a difficult time. It says everything is all because of God.
In October last year, Gomez revealed on Twitter that she drew inspiration for the song "Nobody" from God.
"God. Nobody is about him," Gomez said on Twitter, referring to her song "Nobody".
Gomez is a regular at the Hillsong church. She has previously posted photos from their services and Bible studies, which she attended with her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. In addition, she had posted a picture of her posing in front of the worship team's promo posters.
Selena Gomez's song "Nobody" is from her latest album titled "Revival."
Young & Free, on the other hand, has released new album called "Youth Revival" and is currently on tour.
