"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Remastered Edition has another surprise update from Bethesda Softworks.

As reported by Express, the revamped version of "Skyrim" has been given another new patch on its PC version, way ahead of an Xbox One or a PlayStation 4 update. A beta version of the 1.3 update was launched on Steam back in November, but Bethesda fully launched it for the PC version on Dec. 14.

Based on the announcement posted by Bethesda, nothing particularly major was added to or removed from the remastered "Skyrim" game. The update provided improvements in terms of general stability and performance. It also fixed an issue where slow time effects were not behaving properly. It will give better support for 144hz displays. The update also fixed an issue wherein players were unable to log into Bethesda.net.

The special and remastered edition of "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" features all original contents of the game as well as post-release DLCs. The expansions and improvements include the Dawnguard expansion and questline, the Hearthfire home improvements, and the Dragonborn add-on which featured a new location.

The "Skyrim" special edition has so far been well-received from critics and gaming fans alike. Hence, it may not be so surprising that there are already rumors circulating that the popular role-playing fantasy game will be making its transition to the upcoming Nintendo Switch. However, Bethesda has remained evasive in confirming the possibility of bringing "The Elder Scrolls V" game to the much-awaited Nintendo platform.

With the success of the fifth installment of "The Elder Scrolls" game franchise, there are already expectations that a sixth "Elder Scrolls" game will be in development soon. However, as previously reported, "The Elder Scrolls 6" is not an active project for Bethesda at the moment, and it may take some lengthy time before plans for its development will be announced.

The 1.3 update for "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Special Edition has been made available for the PC version on Dec. 14. The same update for the consoles will be announced later.
