Sofia Vergara Engaged: Joe Manganiello Wedding Coming

TV stars Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are officially on the way to the altar after they were engaged over Christmas. News of their engagement broke out as the couple was spotted on Christmas Day lounging around the pool at the St. Regis Hotel in Princeville, Kauai, Hawaii.

Manganiello, who stars in "True Blood," and Vergara, star of "Modern Family," had been dating for around six months. Previously, Vergara was engaged to businessman Nick Loeb for a period of two years. During that time it was rumored that they split and made up several times until they finally broke up for good in May 2014.

At that time, Vergara posted on Twitter that Loeb and she had decided to go their separate ways because they "had been having too many problems with figuring out how to spend time together and it's been getting worse and worse."

As for Vergara and Manganiello, the pair first met during the White House Correspondents' Dinner when Vergara and Loeb were still together. Vergara, who is 42, and Manganiello, 38, started dating a few months after her split from Loeb. Since then they have been seen on several occasions on the set of "Modern Family." Other than that, they have kept a relatively low profile relationship.

Sources say Manganiello proposed to Vergara on Christmas Day at sunset in a palatial suite at the St. Regis Hotel. When they were spotted at the pool later on, Vergara could not stop admiring her diamond engagement ring which was reported to be around 10 carats. After their vacation was over, the pair was spotted on Monday holding hands and making their way inside the Los Angeles International Airport.

Meanwhile Loeb, reacting to the news of Vergara and Manganiello's engagement, told Us Weekly that Vergara is "beautiful and majestic and beyond all else she deserves happiness, which only true love can bring."
