'Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect' iPhone 6, iPad App Game Gets its First Episode
The "Sons of Anarchy" is undoubtedly over as its lead character Jax Teller met his end by riding into a truck in the final episode of the hit TV series. But for die-hard fans of the show who want more, there is a new "Sons of Anarchy" game for iOS.
The game debuted a few weeks back on iTunes where it is available for purchase at $2. Its trailer went live recently.
The game, titled "Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect," consists of 10 episodes. Instead of being focused on the cast and characters of the television show, the game is based on a completely different town of Lincoln, Oregon, and has a different set of characters.
In Lincoln, the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club goes by the name SAMLIN and players get to step into the shoes of the character Clint Lancet. Cinemablend described him as a young man who does not want to get involved in the "outlaw lifestyle" in the decaying town that is perilously close to collapsing economically.
Kurt Sutter, the creator of the TV series, is also the person behind the game. He created it with the aid of Orpheus Interactive and Silverback Games and even roped in writers from the TV show to add to its storyline.
Sutter, speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, said the game is "driven by character and it is not a hop-on-a-bike-and-shoot-somebody-in-the-face-and-ride-away game."
He also said he loved the idea of creating a whole new character and making him a "prospect" so that players could live through him and experience the choices he makes.
As for whether stars from the hit TV show would find their way into the "The Prospect," Sutter said when it makes sense they will show up, just like Tig Trager did in the first episode.
Right now "Sons of Anarchy: The Prospect" is only available for iPhones and iPads and is compatible with a select few devices that have been released recently, including the iPad Air 2, iPad Air , iPad Mini Retina 2, iPad Mini Retina and iPhone 5 up to 6 and 6+.
