Sony PlayStation VR release date updates: Preorder option still open
The PlayStation VR is one of the most anticipated releases this year in the video gaming industry. Many fans are excited to know what the new Sony product has to offer that the company decided to open the preorder option in March this year. However, several fans missed the opportunity and Sony has decided to open another pre-sale window.
For those who want to preorder the new video gaming system, Sony will give them another chance to get the device ahead of its Oct. 13 release date.
According to a report by MNR Daily, the new pre-sale window has started before the month of June ends.
"As promised, we're opening our summer wave of PS (Playstation) VR pre-orders starting Thursday, June 30, at 7:00 a.m. Pacific on GameStop.com," Sony noted on its blog post. "Supplies are limited, and this is your final chance to pre-order. If you miss out, we will have product available in retail stores nationwide at launch."
It appears that fans will no longer have a chance to preorder the game if they miss the pre-sale this time around. In case they miss it, they will have to wait for a few months as the system will not be available until Oct 13. There is also a big chance that the device will not be available in retail stores until a few weeks from its launching.
The price tag has remained the same for the PSVR Core packed at $399.99, which many consider a fair price considering that you get to experience the new device before everyone else in October.
Sony has another PlayStation VR package, which is the Launch Bundle.
"At $499.99, this bundle provides an unbeatable value for those of you looking to get right into VR gaming with your PlayStation 4. Since we're including one of our top PS VR launch games, PlayStation VR Worlds, we know you'll have a great experience right out of the box," stated by Sony on its blog post.
