Sony Xperia Z4 vs HTC One M9 Specs Review: Price, Features Comparison - Devices Look Different But Have Similar Specs

With the arrival of the Sony Xperia Z4, it means there is yet another device in the market with the latest chipset and specs, but it will have to compete against the HTC One M9, which looks much better.

Design

It is clear that both devices only have slight changes when compared to their predecessors. In the Xperia Z4, it means the device is lighter and thinner that the Z3 although it has a similar metal frame and a glass back panel. As for the One M9, it has a metal body that is hand-polished and comes in four colors: gun metal, a silver/gold combination, amber gold, and pink.

Display

The displays on both devices are quite similar. The One M9 comes with a super LCD3 screen measuring 5.0 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441 pixels per inch. As for the Xperia Z4, it has an IPS LCD screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 424 pixels per inch.

Specs

When it comes to specs, again both devices are similar with the Xperia Z4 having a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, along with a CPU with eight cores, four Cortex-A53 cores and four Cortex-A57 cores and an Adreno 430 GPU. As for the One M9, it also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with a similar octa core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU.

Memory

Both devices have 3 GB RAM each, and both have memory slots that can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage.

Camera

Both have 20.7 megapixel shooters at their rear. When it comes to their front-facing camera, the Sony Xperia Z4 has a better 5.1 megapixel version compared to the 4 megapixel version of its competitor.

Price

The price of the Sony Xperia Z4 could be around $891 if the phone reaches the U.S. The HTC One M9 costs $199 with a two-year contract.
