Electronic Arts finally revealed the details for the upcoming Ultimate Edition of "Star Wars: Battlefront," the popular first-person shooter adventure game based on the original "Star Wars" film franchise. Packing all of the previous special contents and expansion packs of the game, the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Ultimate Edition will be released shortly after the launch of the last DLC update, "Rogue One."
EA seems to be wrapping up the "Star Wars: Battlefront" saga with the Ultimate Edition coming up, but the game studio said that they will still be supporting the video game in the near future. As stated in the official website of "Star Wars: Battlefront," the players can still expect more in-game events and giveaways even after the Ultimate Edition is released. Electronic Arts will continue to find and provide ways to make the gamers' experience more exciting. For example, there will be free trial gameplay in selected weekends, as well as double score events. In fact, there will be a 4X score event shortly after the release of the "Star Wars: Battlefront" Ultimate Edition.
"Star Wars Battlefront: Ultimate Edition" will include the base version of the video game and the Season Pass. It has the collection of the game's four expansion packs, namely "Outer Rim," "Bespin," "Death Star," and "Rogue One: Scarif." Combining all the contents of the previous and upcoming DLC packs, the Ultimate Edition will have a total of 30 maps, 14 heroes, and 14 game modes that the players can choose, according to Cinelinx.
Meanwhile, the upcoming DLC update, "Rogue One: Scarif," is expected to be released on December 16th alongside the "Star Wars" spin-off movie, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." However, those who have a season can have the DLC as early as December 6. The "Rogue One" expansion will introduce the characters of Jyn Erso and Orso Krennic.
