'Star Wars Episode 8' spoilers, plot news: Luke Skywalker will not meet Han Solo's fate
It appears that fans won't have to worry about Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) meeting his doom in "Star Wars Episode 8" like his old smuggler pal Han Solo (Harrison Ford).
Just recently, Hamill let the cat out of the bag and revealed that he will be in the next installment, which is "Star Wars Episode 9," in a video he posted on Twitter.
On this clip, Hamill can be seen getting his face shaven to prepare for his hosting gig in "Pop Culture Quest." The caption he put on the video was the one that spilled the beans on his "Star Wars Episode 8" fate.
With that said, fans won't have to worry about losing another beloved character from the original trilogy and will once again go toe to toe with a new generation of the Dark Side.
In the first film – Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens," Luke Skywalker was only shown at the final part of the film after a long search for him. He appears to have isolated himself for failing as a Jedi Master.
"Star Wars Episode 8" is expected to be big on Luke Skywalker now that the search for the Jedi is finally over. It is exciting to see imagine him reunite with the other original characters.
Rey (Daisy Ridley) brought his iconic lightsaber to him, but she is expected to be trained by Luke in "Star Wars Episode 8." Rumor has it that Luke will show his prowess by taking on the Knights of Ren and Darth Vader in the making Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
It was certainly painful to see Han Solo go in the previous and it would be devastating should the Jedi Master shares the same fate with him. Thankfully, this inadvertent revelation from Hamill suggests otherwise.
"Star Wars Episode 8 is directed by Rian Johnson and will be in cinemas Dec. 15, 2017.
