'Star Wars: Episode 8' spoilers: Luke Skywalker's line from trailer revealed? plot details teased
While the focus is on "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," which is set for release in a couple of weeks, next year's "Star Wars: Episode VIII" continue to get the same amount of attention.
The latest bit of information comes from prolific "Star Wars" tipster and YouTuber, Mike Zeroh, who claims to have been told by "multiple individuals" about one of Luke Skywalker's (Mark Hamill) lines in the movie that fans will hear him say to Rey (Daisy Ridley) in the trailer.
Spoiler Alert! The following contains potential plot spoilers for "Star Wars Episode 8." Read at your own discretion.
The "Star Wars Episode 8" line reads, "You contain the spark that will rekindle the fire." Zeroh warned fans to take it with a pinch of salt as he still finds its authenticity a bit dubious.
However, there are four sources, which Zeroh did not name, that back this claim and two of those, the tipster has proved to be reliable.
Regardless of the legitimacy of the "Star Wars: Episode VIII" line, it is believed that it is possible that it could be in the film, more so in the trailer.
This is because the line reveals as much as necessary for the audience to get an idea or two of what "Star Wars: Episode VIII" entails, but is also ambiguous enough to keep fans mystified.
Since it is said to be directed to Rey, this line appears to be one that could officially set off her journey into becoming a Jedi in "Star Wars: Episode VIII."
She is also said to be the person who will take the responsibility of bringing peace to the galaxy far, far away and saving the Jedi Order altogether.
After all, "Star Wars: Episode VIII" is expected to focus on Rey as she discovers who she really is by training with Luke in Ahch-To, where she found the Jedi Master in the final moments of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
The movie will certainly make giant leaps in digging Rey's backstory while also developing her from someone who thought the Force was only a myth to one who actually practices it.
"Star Wars: Episode VIII" will hit the theaters on Dec. 15, 2017. The trailer is expected to arrive in during the first quarter of next year.
