'Star Wars Episode 8' spoilers: New leak hints of costume change, new Rey and Luke scene
It appears that many of the characters in "Star Wars Episode 8 will get some costume changes come the long-awaited sequel to "Star Wars: The Force Awakens."
MakingStarsWars.net, with the help of Lumberjack Nick, recently provided a depiction of a scene in the movie where Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) trains Rey (Daisy Ridley).
The Jedi master wore a black costume that resembles the one he had in "Return of the Jedi" and one that the abovementioned site says "gets a lot dirtier" in "Star Wars Episode 8."
The site said that Luke will be letting out some Yoda vibe in this scene so instead of looking more regal with the white robe he donned when he first meets Rey, it looks like Luke will take the Padawan through some harsh tests.
Luke had in his hand what is believed to be a walking stick or a spear in this "Star Wars Episode 8" scene. It would appear that his lightsaber is nowhere to be found here.
There have been various reports that Luke will show a whole new layer of his powers in "Star Wars Episode 8." He will reportedly be so Force-strong that he can take down another Starkiller Base on his own.
On the other hand, the body language of Rey as shown in the sketch suggests that she will be at some point frustrated in the training, which Luke, having gone through the same when he was under the tutelage of Yoda, will certainly understand.
Meanwhile, there are rumors that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will also get a new costume in "Star Wars Episode 8" and his will be a major nod to his grandfather and forever idol Darth Vader.
This does not come as a shock seeing just how the Sith in making is invested in continuing the legacy that Darth Vader left before he died.
"Star Wars Episode 8" will hit the cinemas Dec. 15, 2018.
