'Star Wars Episode VIII' spoilers, plot news: Princess Leia will confront Kylo Ren for the murder of his father Han Solo
"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" saw the murder of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) in the hands of his son Ben, a.k.a. Kylo Ren (Andrew Driver). In the sequel, Kylo will have some explaining to do when he comes face to face with his mother, Leia (Carrie Fisher).
According to The Week, a synopsis of the movie's plot was leaked on Reddit by user SpaceBearLeak, and a scene description from the movie will have the first order kidnap General Leia. She will wake up face-to-face with her masked son. Kylo will interrogate her about the whereabouts of rogue Stormtrooper Finn/FN-2187, and it looks like more of Kylo's character motivation will be revealed.
Kylo is said to be furious at his father for leaving Leia at such a dark time, and he took it upon himself to make himself stronger.
Some fans are already skeptical about the scene description because in "Force Awakens," Leia said that Han left after Ben was seduced by the dark side. But then again, maybe problems were already brewing in the Solo household, and Ben's seduction was the final straw to have Han leaving his family. Even if the description turned out to be false, it is still quite possible that Leia will have her turn to run into her son.
Further descriptions say that Kylo will use his "Force-probe" powers on his own mother, and he will be able to extract the information that he needs about the location of Finn.
As of now, the official title of "Star Wars Episode VIII" is yet to be revealed, and according to the Hollywood Reporter, star Daisy Ridley says that the title will not be revealed for a long while. "The Force Awakens" title was revealed 13 months before the release of the movie; with that pattern, fans can expect the official title of "Episode VIII" to come in November or December.
"Star Wars Episode VIII" is set to be released in December 2017.
