"Star Wars: Rogue One" is currently playing in cinemas as of this time and this has led to the players thinking about the franchise's video game version. The "Battlefront" was a successful one, paving the way for "Battlefront 2" to be possible.

Even though "Star Wars: Rogue One" has several scenes that are familiar to the "Battlefront" players, in an article by Metro, the trailer actually looks like the mentioned downloadable content (DLC) and the upcoming one is expected have the same gameplay — even better than the first one.

The success of "Star Wars: Battlefront" may be due to the fact that the players are able to experience "Star Wars" on a different platform even if its gameplay is not that complicated. The title has received its fair share of criticisms, but it managed to be one of the most popular ones. The publication noted that the title has some deficiencies like perks, customization options, choice of weapons and others.

However, it is said that the initial intention of the "Battlefront" DLC was to offer an entry-level shooter game that parents and children can play together while celebrating the "Star Wars" trilogy.

The sequel has been talked about as an online debate has been recurring. Some fans believe that the sequel will have an improved story campaign while others say that it will somehow be similar with the first expansion.

Metro was able to speak to game producer Paul Keslin, who talked about "Battlefront 2" and the game's development so far.

"We know that we do multiplayer well and we wanted that to be our focus, but we underestimated the fanbase's desire to have that solo offline experience," he said.

"We took a lot of that criticism to heart," he continued. "And I think when we announced the next Battlefront game we heard a lot of what people said about the base game when it launched. And we said, "Okay, we need to solve these type of things for the future. It needs to not be content light. How do we have a campaign?' Things like that we took very much to heart."

Some expectations set for "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" includes new heroes, single-player campaign and a galactic conquest.
