Noah Schnapp, who played the role of Will Byers in the first season of the smash summer hit "Stranger Things," thinks that his character could turn evil in the show's second season.

The freshman run of the Netflix sci-fi horror series followed Will's family and friends as they sought out Will, who vanished after encountering a monster called The Demogorgon. As it turned out, Will had become trapped in a nightmare world, the so-called Upside Down. By the end of the season, Will had been rescued.

However, in the season capper's final scene, Will vomited up a slug-like creature and briefly saw the world as the Upside Down. Since then, fans have come up with various theories about what happened to Will and how "Stranger Things" season 2 will pick up from the season 1 finale.

Schnapp revealed his predictions regarding Will in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, saying, "[M]y guess is that maybe he's going to become evil in the next season."

"If he's coughing up these baby Demogorgons, or eggs, or something, maybe he's incubating or holding these eggs inside of him and he's trying to fight his good side against his bad side in the next season," he explained.

When asked how he sees Will and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) interacting when they finally meet, the actor replied that he thinks they already have, adding, "In one of the episodes, Eleven sees a picture of me, and she points at it and says, 'Will.'"

"So I think maybe one time... maybe I didn't meet her, but maybe she saw me somewhere," he said.

Meanwhile, in an interview for AMC's "Geeking Out," Gaten Matarazzo, who played Dustin, revealed his own theory on "Stranger Things" season 2.

According to the actor, he thinks that Will will be revealed to have superpowers like those of Eleven, who has psychokinetic abilities. He said that he believes this is so because Will was able to communicate with his mom (Winona Ryder) while he was trapped in Upside Down.

Netflix has not announced the official release date for "Stranger Things" season 2.
