'Street Fighter 5' season 2 DLC release date, rumors: Oro, Sodom, Abel, Sagat and more coming?

"Street Fighter 5" adds Urien as final DLC character for season 1 roster. | Capcom

"Street Fighter 5" already unveiled the last character for the season 1 roster and just as expected, it was none other than Urien. But now fans are looking forward to getting more characters for the season 2 downloadable content (DLC) which is expected to add to list sometime in 2017.

According to reports, the game will be featuring six new characters in the new DLC. Rumors are rife that one of the new characters to be included is ancient hermit Oro who first appeared in "Street Fighter III: New Generation." Other rumored characters include Abel, Sagat, Q, Rose, and Sodom who are all part of the roster in the previous games.

Capcom has not made any confirmation about this though and some reports suggested that the developers are planning to add in a whole new set of characters for the 2017 DLC. A report by Event Hubs pointed out that a billboard in the background of "Street Fighter 5's' London stage hinted a possible new character coming soon. The character could be named Eisbahn, which means "ice rink" in German.

Nonetheless, it's predicted that six characters will be coming just like the previous batch which included Alex, Guile, Juri, Urien, Ibuki and Balrog. Several are hoping though that characters like C. Viper, Dee Jay, Fei Long, Blanka, E. Honda and El Fuerte will make it to the new batch.

In other news, "Street Fighter 5" is celebrating the Halloween season with new skins which are now available until Nov. 29. Halloween-themed costumes are available for purchase for characters like Vega, Ryu, Cammy, Juri, Nevali, Alex and Charlie. Each costume costs $3.99.

Aside from that, Different Halloween stages have also been added and these are available for purchase through Fight Money at 40,000 or $1.99. Gamers who avail of the stages can expect cameo appearances from Effie and Necro from "Street Fighter 3."

For more updates on the "Street Fighter 5" season 2 DLC, fans will have to stay tuned for the official announcement.
