'Suits' season 6 spoilers: Mike takes 'drastic step' to get out of jail; Rick Hoffman talks Tara–Donna dynamic
Desperate times call for desperate measures in the next episode of "Suits" season 6.
According to the synopsis for "Suits" season 6 episode 7, titled "Shake the Trees," Mike (Patrick J. Adams) will be taking a "drastic step" to get Kevin (Erik Palladino), his cellmate, on his side.
In the episode, Harvey (Gabriel Macht) visits his protegé, Mike, in prison and explains that they need to give Sean (Neal McDonough) some new info soon if Mike wishes to get out of jail, where he is currently serving a two-year sentence.
Mike knows that he has to get Kevin, who confessed in the previous episode that his wife knew about the insider training, to dish about Sutter (Alan Rosenberg), Kevin's father-in-law. However, Mike is not sure about the idea of doing so, especially since Kevin is intent on protecting the mother of his children. He even went so far as to serve his sentence so that he will not implicate her.
Th promo clip for episode 7 shows Mike and Kevin fighting, with the latter telling the former that he is not interested in his "good intentions."
Meanwhile, Louis (Rick Hoffman) and Donna (Sarah Rafferty), along with Harvey, will be searching for the supposed "missing link" to Sutter's crime.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Hoffman spoke about the possible future dynamic between Donna, his ex-girlfriend, and Tara (Carly Pope), the new apple of his eye.
"I think it would be really cool," the actor said, "similar to how Donna became instant friends with Louis' sister [Amy Acker] last year. But, who doesn't get along with Donna? I would have to say that's one h—ll of a litmus test."
"If this relationship were to ever work with Tara, she better get along with Donna," he added.
In the previous episode of "Suits," Tara discovered that Louis had been lying about owning the house in the Hamptons. However, after initially feeling hurt about the deception, she eventually softened to Louis after the latter confessed that he had bought the house so that he could keep seeing her. Tara then agreed to go on a date with Louis.
Speaking with Yahoo! News, Hoffman said that he wasn't surprised that Louis had lied about the house.
"I thought it was hilarious when [creator Aaron Korsh] told me about it," he said. "To me, it was typical Louis, doing something unbelievably ridiculous for love."
New episode of "Suits" season 6 air every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on USA.
