'Suits' season 6B spoilers: Will Rachel accept an unexpected job offer?

After Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres) opted to leave the Pearson Specter Litt firm in the first half of the season, another major character might decide to leave the office for good in the next episode of "Suits" season 6.

Executive producer Aaron Korsch revealed in an interview with TVLine that Rachel Zane will have an unexpected job proposal from her own father Robert (Wendell Pierce) at the start of the midseason premiere.

"Her father is going to say, 'Listen, it was one thing when Jessica was there. She's not there, and I'm not sure that firm is going to survive without her. Come work for me,'" Korsh stated in the interview. "She's got to decide: Is she going to stay at Pearson Specter, or is she going to go work for her dad?"

This could be a very difficult dilemma for Rachel, since she had been working for the firm for a long time despite its ups and downs. But Jessica's departure could be a big blow to Rachel, since she had been her mentor while she was learning to become a lawyer.

Leaving the firm would mean that she will be physically far from her fiancé Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams), who was just released from prison after pleading guilty for fraud. Could this also affect their planned wedding?

Fans of the legal drama series are also excited to find out who will take over Jessica's place when "Suits" returns for the second half of the season. According to reports, there is a big chance to see Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) lead the law firm in the upcoming episodes, especially since his other partner Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) is busy with his new love life since Tara Messer (Carly Pope) accepted his marriage proposal.

The next episode of "Suits" season 6 is slated to air on Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017.
