'Super Mario Run' for Android: Nintendo announces game to arrive to Android devices in March
Nintendo just made all Android owners happy with the availability of "Super Mario Run" for their devices. While the title has yet to come out inMarch, Android users are looking forward to what the legendary hero has in store for them.
On Nintendo's Twitter account, it was announced that "Super Mario Run" for Android will be out in March, though the specific day was not disclosed. However, when it finally comes out, it is expected to offer the same free download offer, but with limited levels to try. Just the same with the iOS version, a price of $9.99 has to be paid in order to unlock all the levels.
Players can now visit the Play Store and check out the latest news from "Super Mario Run." They can also opt to get a notification once the game becomes available in their area. The mobile game has been solely available for iOS devices for a couple of months now, and the news about the Android version comes as a major surprise.
"Super Mario Run" is the mobile version of the classic "Mario" franchise, in which the iconic hero is seen running all by itself. However, he needs the help of the players to navigate around the track, avoid obstacles, collect coins, fight enemies and others. There are 24 levels to play in the game's six worlds via the World Tour Mode, aside from Kingdom Building and Toad Rally. Furthermore, unlockable characters like Yoshi, Luigi, Peach and Toad are available.
Several reports claim that Nintendo is making a giant leap to reach out for the Android users, following the decline of iOS players several months after its launch. The release of "Super Mario Run" sparks hope that more players will download the game. However, it remains to be seen whether players would continue with the full game after playing the free levels.
