Taylor Swift Dating Orlando Bloom Rumors: Ed Sheeran Says, 'Date Bloom'

Taylor Swift has received a suggestion from her best friend Ed Sheeran who told the newly minted pop star that she should be dating actor Orlando Bloom.

Sheeran recently revealed in an interview that Swift and Bloom are practically neighbors since they live in the same apartment complex in New York. Sheeran said he was hoping that Swift and Bloom would meet and let "magic" do its work of sparking romance between the two of them. Many fans are taking Sheeran's comments seriously as the singer has previously played matchmaker to Courtney Cox and Johnny McDaid.

Swift currently is riding a wave of success with her album titled "1989" which last week reclaimed the top spot in the Billboard 200 chart. The album has been at the top of this chart for six weeks since it was released eight weeks ago.

Last week, Swift also became the first artist to spend 10 weeks at the top of the Artist 100 chart which was launched in July this year. This new chart measures the popularity of an artist by combining the results of Billboard Hot 100, the Social 50 chart and Top Album Sales chart.

However, being immersed in work, Swift appears uninterested in dating anyone at this point of time. Earlier this month rumors swirled that the songstress was interested in Matt Healy from the band 1975. Speculation started when Swift attended a concert by the band. Shortly thereafter Healy stated in an interview that he had "met Taylor Swift and it was really nice, and we exchanged numbers."

He also noted that Swift was a sensational and that he was interested in seeing what would happen next between the two of them. He also said that he "wouldn't say no if it came to going out with her."

The holidays have seen Swift spending time with her parents and brother. She also went to a matinee performance of the play "The River" which stars Hugh Jackman. After this, Swift posted a picture of them together on her Instagram account.
