'Teen Mom 2' news: Leah Messer blames bad editing for her reputation as a bad mother
The premiere episode of "Teen Mom 2" season 8 will return to MTV in early January, but the controversies are starting to pile up as early as now.
In an interview with Radar Online, "Teen Mom 2" star Leah Messer revealed that she is not pleased with how the reality show portrayed her as a bad mother over the show's past seasons.
According to Messer, she tends to be nervous about the scenes that the network will air since they normally portray her as a bad person. "There is a lot of editing and all that. You don't know what's going to be on air," she said.
In the previous season, the 24-year-old mother of three had been criticized for not letting her twin daughters Ali and Aleeah to eat breakfast before they go to school. Fans of the series were also mad when she let her youngest daughter Adalynn eat sugar packets in a restaurant.
But Messer claimed that those scenarios are a product of bad editing, saying that it was made to manipulate the audience to believe that she is an unfit mother. However, she claimed that she and her daughters will not be involved in a lot of drama this coming season. "There are a lot of positive things going on with the girls and I," the reality show star said. "Good things, great things," she continued.
On the other hand, Messer's co-star Jenelle Evans recently displayed her growing baby bump on social media while defending her decision to get pregnant with her current boyfriend David Eason.
The photo that she shared on Instagram showed her youngest son Kaiser hugging her growing tummy. Yet she also posted her reaction about a fan's criticism about her latest pregnancy over her Twitter account.
According to a fan, Evans must stop getting herself pregnant by men whom she barely knows. Yet the reality show star claimed that she and Eason had been dating for over a year, and the commenter knows nothing about her.
Evans will give birth to her first daughter on January 28, 2017, and they will name the child Ensley Jolie Eason.
MTV will drop the first episode of "Teen Moms 2" season 8 on Monday, Jan. 2.
